RadioLink
« on: November 10, 2013, 10:46:16 am »

Have just purchased a new RadioLink RX & TX from China, well, not me, the brother.  I am unable to bind the new TX with any of my old RXs but it will bind with the RX that came as part of the combo.  Strangely, the old TX binds with the new RX?????
The only difference, it appears, betwenn the sets is the old one has digital trims and the new one has manual.
Any ideas?

As far as I am aware the digital TX's tend only to work with their own make RX

Sorry, should have been clearer, both old and new sets are Radiolink.

One of our club members has been discussing these units with the manufacturer, apparently the new V2 reciever does have this "feature" of not being backward compatible.

The manufacturer is trying to find out why.

Old TX is a T6EHP with a silver face and digital trims.
New TX is a T6EHP-S with a black face and manual trims
Both new and old Rxs are marked R7EH 7Channel.

Trouble is he has about 12 of the old Rxs and was hoping the new TX would be compatible. >:-o

Interestingly the 4 channel TX has manual trims! Haven't got any 'new' Rxs that I know of, but no trouble binding with the old ones.

I have just looked at my Rx's and the 7 chann R7EH has 'FHSS' in the little orange square.
My R6EH Rx's have 'DSSS' in the orange square, but both work with my T4U.

Your New Rx obviously has 'backward compatibility'
The Tx is the odd one out.
