IC/Petrol boats
« on: November 14, 2013, 09:15:54 am »

Could anyone out there please tell me the reason IC & petrol boats are
banned from certain waters and parks.
I know it has something to do with legislation and council bylaws but
up to yet cannot find the specific bylaw that states this fact.

thanks in anticipation

Noise is the main factor and there will be no by-law specific to model boats just the general anti noise laws.

My local park has specific by-laws against any powered boat. which are worded in such a way that it could include yachts ie wind powered.

Other considerations are pollution, scaring/disturbing wildlife and public safety.
