Hi
Not being recoatable means you wont be able to apply more paint over it.
Plasticoat is baisically a 1 coat paint....put it on and forget it....if you decide there is not enough paint on it and decide to apply more there is a 99% chance that it will react....they even WARN you on the tins.
I decided to use this on a torpedo boat as a tutorial for you guys, applied the primer on the hull, left it in a warm place to dry....went to apply the top coat and it reacted, paint strippered it all off and tried again ....same thing again.....decided to cut out the primer and just apply straight on and it was OK ish......decided NOT to do the tutorial.....I would rather brush paint a hull with household paint tahn use this product..........I HATE IT with a VENGENCE.
Dont get me wrong it is ideal for garden gates furniture and things like that. Some on here will only use this stuff.
Please take a piece of advise, you have spent so much money on a hull etc WHY spoil it by brush painting,as Seaspray has said and it is totally 100000000005 true what he has said I coulnt have put it better myself........use some wood plastic piece of scrap metal and PRACTISE PRACTISE and yet AGAIN PRACTISE......Shake the can for along time take your time nad you willl be very pleased with yourself....Ask Tug Kenny about his spraying exploits pm him if you want to
