Hi guys, not being on in ages, not been well my disability has flared up and my Father has been ill so in and out of hospital. So, apologies for that. I have however, kept myself busy, or trying to regarding my static models, not just of boats.


But I have finally finished my Clarrisa-Mae inshore Lobster/Crab boat diorama.


She is a plank of frame hull with scratch built boiler, battered and weathered. The canal side is made from polystyrene with a brick front and real slate tops, the fence is lollipop sticks, the hedges are old sponges the tree is a real branch with leaves made. The figures are white metal. It was seated in silicone which has been painted to represent the sludgy state of the water ways at that time. This was a on and off project but I finally got around to finishing it.

That is very realistic Eddie..........but the guy amidships.........well it's good he has his wellingtons on as she looks to have a bit of water in the bilge......   ....Derek

Looks great    How long is the full size boat? Might be a good subject in 1/12th scale.
