Gun Leander
« on: December 14, 2013, 01:48:18 pm »

I've been asked to try and find a Gun Leander model. It needs to be  larger than the Airfix kit 1/350 but smaller than the Fleetscale kit 1/72.
Does anyone know of any kits out there? I doesnt need to be radio controled.

Thanks  :police:

SIRMAR produce a 1/96 scale semi-kit.

Airfix did the Leander class frigate in 1/350th? Never came across that one, I only ever had the 1/600th version.

To the best of my knowledge Airfix never kitted the Leander in 1/350th.  I think White Ensign may have had a resin kit in 1/350th but I could be wrong about that.  Fleetscale have a Leander in 1/96th as well as their 1/72nd scale

I had a poke around and my memory did serve me well, White Ensign did do a 1/350th scale waterline model of HMS Apollo.

It isn't listed on their site now but try WEM
https://www.whiteensignmodels.com/

They are very friendly people and who knows, they may still have one kicking around.
