Setting up some new boat kits
« on: November 29, 2013, 07:54:51 pm »

Hello forum, just bought some kit boats which need some final assembly but never had any rc stuff before so totally out of my depth. Went to local model shop and guy wasn't interested in helping (no wonder shop was empty)
Boats are thunder tiger c95n Americas cup one metre yacht
Kingfisher rc5301
Couple of joysway speedboats

Based maldon Essex any suggestions or offers of help gratefully received
Thanks for taking time to read this

Hello and welcome to Mayhem.

There is a wealth of knowledge in the Yachts section and the members are very helpful, so if you have any questions, then please fire away.   :}

Cheers

Thanks fellas, hadn't thought of just turning up at lake....obvious really. I had hoped to give the boats to local shop, give him a few quid and get them back ready to go...

For thundertiger boats, have a look on www.thundertiger.com  Click the downloads tab, then the boats button, yacht manuals free for down load pages 4-6.  Most of their 1 metre size yachts have a lot in common with each other, so it should be easy enough to find a suitable one, and at the back end of the manuals is a "how to" bit telling some of the secrets of tuning sails.
