First off, apologies if this is the the wrong forum, but these are too good to miss for sail boats.

I have recently been scouring the internet for eyelets, really small ones for my sails. Well I found some at 1/16th diameter which are ideal and thought I'd share the link......

These are super tiny and now I have to figure out how to cut  the holes in the sail cloth and then actually rivet them into place I bought a tube of 300, arrived in 4 days and I have a feeling I will never need to buy any more!

Nice find!  I've just had a browse and there's loads of stuff suitable for boats.  Chain, eyelets and small bolts.

Also available in similar outlets are perforated metal  "spreader bars"  3 and 5 hole versions in plated metal. Lots of uses on model boats.

Hi Bryan re putting eyelets into sail cloth.  I choose the spot for the eyelet dab on a small amount of superglue and allow to go hard.  Then use a drill by hand to open up the hole for the eyelet and fix the eyelet in place.  Practice on a spare piece of cloth first though.

i find a small hot soldering iron makes nice holes i found super glue and heat do not go together

Good find thanks! I prefer using grommets on my sails. They are nearly impossible to find in less than 1/4" sizes. The grommet has two pieces which compress together eliminating the one rough side of an eyelet.
