Yes I will exactly do that. Maybe even 10x2mm planks and the a 0.8mm plywood cover over it ....

Your close frame style of build reminds me of the scantlings of wooden warships with their frames close together. Very attractive. It is a shame to cover them up!

After slicing the 3D model I drew all the sections .... best idea I had for ages! It makes drawing the hull very easy.

... and cut out the section out of 9mm plywood.

Danielle...why do you use 'numeric/alfa' coding sequences for the frames?........23>23A>24>24A etc... when each appears to be of equal length spacing.....

It doesn't confuse me :o, are the builders original plans drawn & coded this way?

Derek ... I had planned to have one frame every 40mm ... so I wrote the numbers on the original drawings. Then I changed my mind and went for 20mm space per frame and didn't want to delete the numbers on the drawing .... therefore the frames are numbered -1, 0, 0A, 1, 1A, 2 etc ......

When I built 'Lena' I ended up doing something similar as also didn't want to alter my drawing. In the aircraft industry they do the same when they build a longer version of the same aircraft.

Looking good missy but after seeing how good the last one was I've come to expect quality from you. Well done, I'm following with interest. U2

Danielle that looks epic!!!  Trouble is now you are going to have to make it look as good inside as out to show off your carpentry skills.  Keep the pics coming!

Danielle, your framing is superb, both fit and shape, almost a pity to plank the hull.

Danielle, I'm no expert but is there any chance that 1 and 2 in the first pic and A and B in the second are actually the same colours but just affected by one surface being in the shade and therefore looking darker?

1 and 2 do look a little different but A and B look quite similar to the untrained eye! ;)

Just a thought........it's looking awesome by the way,     U2

missyd.......I tend to agree with U2.....& think the dockyard would have ordered 20 litre drums of blue, 20 litre drums of white & 20 litre drums of rust coloured anti fouling??

A bit difficult to take the ship to the paint shop, but that fisherman's washing would be an easy match %)...... Derek

1, 2 & A are the same color dark blue. Affected by sunlight they look like 3 different blues. B is a light blue. This was confirmed by the builder of the ship.
Anti fouling color changes its color as soon as it gets wet ....   :-))

Danielle, The planking is as usual superb, with the heavy ply ribs, the strenght of the hull will be phenominal, please dont fall into the underpower trap as you did on Cornilia, what glue have you used on the planking???

Thanks a lot Mark. Planking is 10x3 pine. Glued to the ribs by normal wood glue ... but the fast binds in 20 minutes version .... ok2
