1.8 L/minute is not a great flow Danielle.....but for assistance with docking will be OK :-))

Just be sure to fully epoxy or solder the internal central dividing intermediate isolation disk between the suction & delivery sides  %)

.... there is no Divider between the tubes ... impossible to fit one ... left tube is 90° and goes to the right near the opening and vice versa .... the 90° tubes (like an elbow) are crossed in the middle ....

Hi Danielle
With a boat has big as yours and the weight . You might fine you are not moving enough water to turn the boat .  Have a look in non modelling areas. You can get Caravan fresh water pump 12v that will shift 5L per min.
Your in take might all so be restrictive . One option might be X2 pumps . they suck water in from under the flat of the hull near the keel and exit via the bow thruster  .X1 for port X1 for starboard .

I did test the pump today with 12V ... I think it should be enough to help with "parking in" the model ... BUT in windy or situations with a lot of water current it won't help much ... can tell it only after the hull is in the water...

I think the pump may be a little bit weak but the original has a bow truster and I wanted to hae one too without paying a fortune for one you can buy in a model shop ...

Have you looked on ebay for a bilge pump, some of the guys over here have used small ones to great effect and they are a lot less than model type pumps, the hull is way big enough for it to fit

Bilge Pumps seem to all be submersed in water, do they do one with in and out hose connections ?.

I like seeing a good bit of brass work on a model, it adds something good and traditional!

Thanks a lot to you all ... I leave it as it is ... the model can't cost much as I have a limited Budget of 800 Euros including the RC.

Hello!
Thanks for the video! I'm definitely gonna try a similar solution. One benefit is that it's a lot easier to replace the motor(pump) if it breaks or is too weak.

That hull and superstructure will never be described as flimsy, real quality materials being used.

You're right ... I always use 9 and 6mm plywood of the highest grade. It can be cut, drilled and milled without problems ... and is sturdy and heavy.

It reminds me more and more of a real sized wooden man o' war with the ship builders use of several layers of timber including unusual shaped pieces. Final finish aside. the wood work on this model is very attractive.

Talking of weight, the CM sail very well in choppy water, this should be just as good

More work done ...

Wasn't happy with the thickness so I added anotther 4mm to the back.

And to end the day with something new I started to place tha anchors ...
