The model is now taking shape managed to do a bit more this week. The model is now noting like the picture on my first post more to follow.

Definitely nothing like the first pic!!  But all the better for it. The wheelhouse/superstructure you have built from scratch is really a quality looking piece of work Stan.  Hopefully I can get back into the workshop in the next couple of weeks once the new puppy requires less attention and the bite marks on my hand start to clear up!!  Getting up at 5 am each morning to answer the cries of 'wake up everyone I want to play'.  The older dog aint impressed!

Hope to be ready for the paint shop by the middle of March. I have had fun fitting the lights next job to fit the resistors and connect up the  L.E.D on the mast and cabin. Pictures to follow when this task is complete. Pictures taken today show  model with more detail fitted.

I have wired up the mast lights and navi lamps this afternoon what a job. :(( :(( :(( :((.I had to fasten the bridge to my bench with screws. Second  picture shows resistors in place and connected wire is held in place with epoxy. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Just a few shots of the mast area . You can just see on one of the of the pictures roof fitted to cover resistors.Taking pictures of white plastic card is no easy task.

The model is now about 80% complete. I hope to have it on show at Ellesmere this week end. If you are at the show come along to the Kirklees stand I will only  be to pleased to have a chat.

Most of the building work is now complete I have started to prime the hull and etch all the brass parts. Should be in the paint shop by the end of the month. Final pictures showing more detail added next pictures will be of the paint scheme.

The hull is nearly ready for painting just some fine filling to do. Deck fittings primed this evening will be mixing the paint tomorrow ready for the weekend.

HI.  Today I have been busy mixing paints for the first stage of painting the Tug. Pictures show middle hatch and  vents sprayed in Humbrol  103 tread area masked off they will be painted Humbrol 53. I should be painting the main hull next week. More pictures to follow.

Final picture for this evening shows rear hatch tread area masked off. Main hatch cover will be green not sure what shade yet.

HI I am now painting the hull. Two pictures showing  masking to paint both yellow and red lines on hull sides. And the completed job I now have to mask the deck area and spray in final colour then the varnish shop more to follow.
