For this incident see: http://www.cargolaw.com/2006nightmare_mv.alvastar.html

There is an even better one somewhere of a small coaster entering a port in Spain inn the middle of the night and running into a seawall at full tilt, right in front of a security camera; it woke the crew up ail right that did!!

Nothing like an incriminating AIS plot.

I think the master was hoping nobody had noticed...

What is causing these inexplicable loss of control incidents?
Maybe someone else was on the same transmitter frequency, without having put their clothes peg on the board.  Happened to me at Beale Park last year.

Low manning levels. There may have been just one or two people on the bridge and they nodded off - it happens!

The captain was not feeling well - complaining of 'NORASIA' and a headache from bumping his head on the bridge window.

I should start taking the tablets again, the puns are getting worse again. I'm also fed up of someone putting my coat away.
