Krick Type V11b U-Boat
« on: December 21, 2013, 01:55:02 pm »

Right,  you clever lot...does anyone know if either Model Boats or Marine Modelling International magazines have ever featured the Krick Type V11b (the styrene version, not the wood one) in either of them, please?

Cheers,

Hi,
I remember there being an article in marine modeller internation (i think).   I am afraid I can honestly say that the kit is a bit of a nightmare and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.   Are you planning to build it as is or are you going to put in a proper WTC?
Cheers

Morning Guy,

I'm not building it yet, it's on my list for ''putting it on top of the wardrobe out of my carer's way'' until I've finished the Skipjack.

But, I will confess to putting the radio box together, just to see what it was like...as much as I prefer a box, this one looks extremely flimsy and fragile to me, so I'll install a proper cylinder. I just happen to have a suitable one in my cupboard...

One or two of the design installations are most strange, it's going to take a bit of fiddling about here and there to get things sorted out.

''Bit of a nightmare''....you're not far wrong there, Guy!
