I was once stopped for a white light from the back of my car (Austin Maxi) , turned out to be the reversing light stuck on .
Officer was good and with a bit of red insulation tape over it i was on my way.
Now i dont bother as i have AA cover , which covers me at home and away for everything ,
bulb blows i just ring them and they will either send me to the nearest approved garage and its replaced free.
