This one might appeal to you Peter.
A horse walked into a bar,
the barman said,
why the long face?

Nah - it was a white horse and the barman said "Hello! We've got a whisky named after you!" and the horse said "What - Eric??"

I lent my coat to a guy in a bar next to  Greenock
Morton ground.
We were berthed next to the Sugar Quay.
It was persisting with rain and he needed to
see someone outside.
Never came back.
His name was Con Olly, Billy Conolly :D

Couple of years ago, I walked into my hotel bar having just flown in, and was sharing a table with a Scottish guy.  I am English and called Malcolm, he was Scots and called Henry, we were in Pafos, we were short of a Welshman called Stavros - if Mr Jones had been there, there was the makings of an epic.

Still watching The Plank.  More comic gems crammed into a confined space than is reasonably possible.  Sorry if this is mixed up with the news thread.  Put it down to the Cap'n Morgan that my offspring got me for Christmas.

Happy New Year one and all.

There are two versions of "The Plank". The other (silent) version with Eric Sykes and Arthur Lowe is much much funnier!

I think if this is the remake for TV (1979) it also has the late great Tommy Cooper in it.

Hi Roy,
You are very welcome, great fun spotting all the celebrities. Did you spot James Hunt driving a truck? Brilliant!
Dave.

Hi yes I did and a delicious Joanna Lumley and a glimpse of Dianna Dors, I watched the credits and  must have missed a few but what a great gathering of comedy talent.
I expect some of the kids on the see saws got famous later.
regards Roy
