I hope you have now conquered the eternal weeding problem.
Incidentally, there are one or two boats sunk near the old boathouse, which was burnt down some years ago,  including a sub.
I've got memories of 'flying planks' there sailed by members of a club a few miles away, including Derby MBC, and also a dip in the lake after one member got in the rescue boat, the base of which was covered in slippery nitro, resulting in a dip for me in January!

Thank Kiteman1, We've been there for the last 6 month and totally weed free :), thank to the friends of alvaston park. they put in bales of something which seems to have killed the weed.

I will be looking for the sub and I know what you mean about having to go in the lake, My sub was nearly lost and had to go in. as for Nito power, we are no longer allowed to use it.

I'm with King's Lear MBC, who maybe your nearest neighbours.  When do you usually sail?  I wondered about nipping over sometime for a visit.
