If you have drawings, I will have a go, but it will be very small.

Bit of a problem as the only drawing I have is of the earlier pre WW2 version by Norman Ough where the mounting is cylindrical and it had a "stock" out of the rear of the gun. :((

Very useful gun for builders of WWI ships (TBDs and Destroyers)  Mostly on conical mounts but that would be the easy bit to make.  As far as I know this is only available from Chyldes Hall in 1/48th scale resin.

I've found drawings in John Lambert's Allied Coastal Forces of WW1 book on page 202 but I'd be in breach of copyright if I scanned them and posted them here.

I am working on the 3 pounder and the saluting gun, but in the mean time here is something for the Victorian era modellers.

Nordenfelt 1" 4-Barrelled Machine Gun in 1:48 and 1:24 scales.

Well you requested it and as I was working on a 3 pounder for another project. So took some time off and built the model for the 3 pounder saluting gun.

As an spin off from a recently completed project, there are now 12, 6 and 3 pounders in sets of 4 available in the shop.

Currently 1:96, but can be scaled up to 1:72 if required.

Any pics?

I tried to get some after misting undercoat over them. Very hard for the camera to focus on. By the way, the end of the barrels are only .84mm in diameter. Dammed hard for my eyes to focus on too.

How is it that no matter how quick you clean and spray a model, that a spider lays a web across it first?  {-)

Hi,

My 2 Quad Vickers arrived yesterday.

Very intricate work.

Watch the end of the barrels, I already broke a couple off. A minute with the tweezers and superglue fixed the problem.

How do I wash them without more breakages?

Regards

How about going to the other extreme and doing the Hotchkiss 3 Pound gun in 1:12 scale to suit the commercially available 50" Picket Boat hull ? I believe the same hull but in a smaller scale is also available from Kingston Mouldings and Deans so there might be an opportunity to sell them in more than one size. Cheers, Ian
