Just beeen sailing the new J Class from Jclasshulls, called the Nottingham60.
Its 60inches long, with modified sail plan and really looks the part on the water, with bermuda rig.
Today was her maiden voyage and she sailed like a dream, even in light winds she still glided along.
I was unable to catch her using a j class canterbury, 48 inches long.
Looks to me like a real winner for anyone wanting a larger J class boat, and boy does she sail well.
I understand she will be available shortly, maybe even gaff rigged too.
For more details contact Alan or take a look at www.jclasshulls.co.uk :-)

Hello Mr T and thanks for your kind words! I'm chuffed that the hull has worked so well on its first day out. It was a very satisfying mornings sailing. Grace, pace and style!
Yes, in due course the 60 inch boat will be available as a Gaff Rig as well to compliment the rig options available for the 48 inch Nottingham but I also want to have a go with a genoa sail, a customer has already successfully rigged the Nottingham 48 with a genoa foresail and it looks good and seems to work well too.
