Red/Green underwater colour?
« on: January 22, 2014, 11:26:48 am »

Just to follow up on an old thread about this, it seems that the French navy at least used the Copper/Cyanide compound Schweinfurth Green from 1879 to 1898 and then Red Oxide after that. Other navies would probably had similar datelines.

Cyanide and copper........So, probably not a good idea to swim too close then!

Wouldn't 'elf and safety love that?      "Excuse moi, m'sieu - what are you putting on ze 'ull? Sacre bleu!!!"  (Sorry Gazou  :embarrassed: )
