Carbon Fibre Hulls
« on: December 10, 2013, 09:50:26 pm »

I've just bought myself an unbuilt grp Kyosho Seawind kit and was wondering if there was much difference between the grp model and cf model.

I know that cf hulls are generally lighter and stiffer if well produced but does anyone have any first hand experience of sailing both versions and is there a great deal of difference???

Am toying with the idea of getting one of my motorsport contacts to make me a couple of hulls for both my Seawind and Tamiya RTW.

If you use 2.4Ghz radio gear be wary of carbon fibre. I've had a lot of radio problems on a nitro Sprintcat and an FE rigger which had a lot of cf in them.
