Ebay
« on: February 12, 2014, 06:37:58 am »

Hi,

When I try to contact a seller and have to type in the six number code all I get is an error message asking me to type in the correct code.

I am in contact with the Ebay Support Team but they cannot understand the problem.

Are you accessing ebay with an Android phone or tablet ?
I used to get unexplainable password errors on my Android phone.
I found that the keyboard app was adding something extra at the end of the password.
The problem was initially solved by not using 'Enter' from the keyboard app. I had to exit the keyboard app after keying the password then press the 'login' field.
The problem was permanently solved by using a different keyboard app.

You might have to register on the Ebay Australia site....

Ebay don't explain things properly to you, what you have to do is guess. Now the number in question 638896 no problem? but what it is  is the darker bold number eg 6(at the end) is a "capital" so it is larger than the others hope this helps

Hi again,

Solved!

I had the article in my Watch list.

If I click on it to get to the website I cannot contact the seller.

If I type in the article's number, hit search and contact the seller the message goes through.

It may not be the right answer but it works.
