Our club website, does it work for you?
« on: February 15, 2014, 07:11:33 pm »

Hi
I am adding a feature to our club website, which when done I hope will be of interest to some.

Problem I have is that My system is running on 60mb Broadband so all seems well.. I am aware that some are not so fortunate to have speeds like this and was wondering what the quality is like, Ie does it take forever to load.

Currently I have only put on a test of about 40 pictures.

Thanks in Advance

My old copper wire system only runs at about 4Mb/s and it loads very quickly without any problems.

Working spot on for me, I'm viewing on a Windows RT tablet which is notoriously slow, even when running from BT Infinity broadband...didn't even need to put another shilling in the meter.

Just tried from Spain and get a 'problem loading page please try again' error. This is on a 6mb connection. I'll try again in an hour or so, it could be a server problem.

Hi All
Thanks for the feedback, I am pleased to see that it seems to work as well as it has.

Thanks  :-))

Tried here also, all loads instantly, only problem for me is it seems to cut the very bottom of the page off. I only get the top half of the next and previous buttons. Seems to happen to me on a few other sites. Using safari.

Is that just on the main page the link goes to , have you clicked on the fill screen top right of the yellow box ?.

It works perfectly for me.

I have the full set of "Shipping Wonders of the World" bound in to two volumes without the covers so it is interesting to see what I have missed.

Ditto on Chrome. Cuts off about half-way down the left-right buttons which does make it look a bit broken. Full page does fix it, but I don't like full page! (And it's not obvious that is what one should do.)

Works perfect for me on Laptop Win 8.1 Chrome.
Also on Android phone.
Loads instantly on both with no cut off.
12.5Mb on Android  16Mb on laptop.

Thanks.

I think I will add sub sections to the longer running issues as in the Case of MM & Mb there would be over 760 issues to load up.. %%

Have added a little instruction on what to click for full screen.

Ps Who changed the Title to " Our Club Website , Does it work for you ?..

It is not particularly about the website , I know that works.. <*<  it is about an element on test within said website..
