When I retired..the prospect of spending my days in the garden..did,nt appeal to me,..so I visited an old friend and showed him a small model cannon that i,d bought on ebay,..anyway to cut a long story short...we ended up making these,they are made of Oak, but they have a metal sleeve,..the big one has a 41.5mm scaffold tube down the middle..and it takes a 41mm golf ball....the 2 smaller one,s have a 22mm sleeve ..they were meant to be ornaments ..but well on Nov 5th we got some fireworks and ..tested the smaller one,s...suffice to say..they work great...
