Now closed up  :-) , bit of repair needed to tidy up the rear and then create the cut away bit, the top part of the flight instrument panel kept falling off but once glazed that will not be a problem, then more work on fiddly bits tomorrow oh and a bit of painting.  :-))

Ok so I got bored and did some more -  the lights first is the left side front and tail lights, the next is a difficult one from the front caught the tail and left, the following one is the tail and right light, and finally above showing the tail.

In all the build has been difficult to do as the kit has a multitude of options for various dates and navies (brazil/Germany and UK), so deciding which to do was puzzling as some of the numbers dont match up, the 2000 RNAS version has most of its parts in a separate bag.

Wouldnt want to do this one again.

So - now I can tell the kids I can still put a kit together in a day, though the last time I did this was 82  :o .

A Hughes 500 made to look like Magnum PI chopper, still got it in desperate need of repair.

Anyway some photos of the complete kit though painting still to be done and a base board for the deck  - like my others, clearing some kits as I have to think about another build to complete before starting on another special project.

And finally for today - and yes she is not exactly finished, this last photo explains why - spot anything unusual, I have deliberately hidden a special feature, I do this for all my choppers except the stored one I have - that is to have the main rotor working, its running on a 4.8v, as yet I have not glued the rotor to the spindle and although it does rotate when the powers applied it starts the rotor up slowly until it becomes unstable, so when thats done I can fit the tail rotor so that it does not interfer.

I hope you liked it - my youngest didnt believe me when I said I started this just before lunch, in fact nearly 12 hours now, just need a vessel to put it on.

Now wheres the other sea kings

Superb work, like the LED work looks effective O0

One thing, is painting it going to be a pain or is that manageable?

:-) , I've put a video of the chopper on Youtube, under Airfix 1:72 Westland Navy Lynx Mk8  :-)) , although since the video was made, she has had the decals added and put into storage, while doing another project.

Oh! and I fixed the Hughs 500 that I did years ago, Magnum PI style.

For transport the rotor only sits on top with enough friction to allow it to rotate, the small motor copes with this one quite well.
