That looks like a Robbe gearbox on there.... maybe Graupner or Multiplex.

hi ya

Could it be a Graupner Speed 600 with the 3 to 1 gearbox on it?

I have one here 600FG3 and its total length plus gearbox is 80 mm.   It's operating voltage is 7.2 - 12 volts.   Its idle current drain is 2 amps.  Max efficiency is 12 amps but its storl current is 85 amp.

So its a possibility.

grace.......this image suggests that the gearbox is not mounted squarely to the motor....and a certain misalignment is evident with the flexible coupling

Both of these have the potential to draw additional or excessive current...............Derek

The size and pitch of the props would have an impact on the amps drawn too.
How big are they?
