Robbe switches 8444 / 8445

HELP NEEDED !
HI EVERYONE , CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ? I AM IN THE PROCESS OF SWITCHING MY NEWEST MEMBER ( 43" TUG) OVER TO 2.4 GH. SO FAR EVERYTHING WAS OK UNTIL I DECIDED TO INSTALL ROBBE SWITCHES 8444 AND 8445. THE 8444 WAS SIMPLY TO SWITCH ON THE LIGHTS AND THE 8445 WAS TO WORK A WINCH IN AND OUT. THEY HAVE GOT TO BE THE MOST CRAZIEST AND CONFUSING ITEMS EVER. I HAVE EVEN CONTACTED ROBBE THEMSELVES AND THEIR ANSWER WAS NEARLY AS CONFUSING AS THE INSTRUCTIONS.
SO CAN ANYONE OUT THERE PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW TO WIRE THEM UP IN SIMPLE TERMS AS I AM OBVIOUSLY NOT INTELLIGENT ENOUGH.
THE WINCH MOTOR HAS JUST 2 WIRES AND IF YOU FIT THEM TO A 12 VOLT BATTERY THE MOTOR WILL TURN ONE WAY AND IF YOU THEN REVERSE THE WIRES THE MOTOR WILL TURN THE OTHER WAY. ( WINCH IN AND OUT )

MY APOLLOGIES IF IT IS A CASE OF CAN'T SEE THE WOOD FOR TREES. SOMETIMES WE GET LIKE THAT WHEN YOU GET OVER 50 SO I'M TOLD.
                                                                                             MANY THANKS
                                                                                                                  JOHN

it is rather simple..!!  %%  %%

all you will be switching is the negative side of your Motors or lights...
the positive goes straight from the Battery to the Motor or lights

in the PDF that is on the Robbe Website there are some little Wiring diagrams

Hi Colin-D,
Cheers for the reply and thanks for the links however I already have the diagrams which came with the switches. I obviously need to sit down and study these carefully as I still cannot understand.
Am I actually breaking the power to the lights and winch motor ? Does this mean my family were right about the over 50 thing ?
                                                              Thanks

I am over 50 my self... so I would say No... its not an age thing..  {-)

one switch with one set of 3 screws (8444) you only use two of them..
if you connect your lights up as you said... direct to the battery and they work, all you need to do is fit the switch in the negative side of the circuit using the middle and bottom screw...

the winch is a little more complicated ...
switch with two sets of 3 screws (8445) all 6 screws are used...
motor get connected to the middle of each block of 3 screws...
positive from the battery gets connected to the top of each block of 3 screws ...
negative from the battery gets connected to the bottom of each block of 3 screws...

that might be a little bit easier..!!

Yes Thank You your information helped me complete the wiring of my new edition from 27 mg to 2.4 gh.
Only 3 women you lucky man I have 4 women and 2 female cats, Totally outnumbered that is why I enjoy my boats, No hassle from them just endless enjoyment.
