I'd appreciate a professional's review!

....Just back in the UK tonight and immediately looked for it. Been watching parts. I skipped bits which were a bit like another day back on the boat. I feel a bit uncomfortable about it, a bit like many can't watch the Piper Alpha footage. I was only directly involved in the sat diving game for a few years (right when this happened), but in the relatively unique position I had as a non-diver, I have had a a bit too much exposure from all sides to say what I think. It was not a good time for that particular company if I recall though. We also had some Hi-Po incidents, directly or indirectly from others actions. You might also know of a Discovery / Quest programme of the Scandi Arctic -I would treat that with a pinch (20kg sack) of salt also, she was thrown off the field apparently due to freak weather while we were diving OK on our 30 year old boat about 1 mile away.
What I can say is the Dive Supervisors and Shift Supervisors, half the divers on our boat at the time and the OM were well time served, even one of the LST's and SS's went back to the Hydrox diving experiments, the other half going back to Seabex 1 and Uncle John days, lots and lots of accidents before social media and TV films. Even those guys said at the time it was an absolute miracle even with SLS how he got away with that one. I can't repeat other comments.
I can't detract that from him. Tough hardy "bas****"! I really don't understand divers though. It was lottery money back in the day. I've crawled through bells, trunkings and chambers when they're on the surface. It's still good money but "bug***" that for a life choice!!! The dive system in that movie looked big compared to ours.
Sat diving is such a ridiculously difficult and stressful thing to be involved with for all parties. It's difficult to explain to outsiders, I'll leave it at that.
I might get through the rest of it in the next week or so.
