Hi all just seen Bohemian Rhapsody, I really enjoyed it, Freddy looked just like Freddy etc.  I saw that Brian May was a producer so regard most of the plot as was.  I am not giving it a score it was just GREAT!

It was only about Queen and very good when they went away to do their 'opera' B. H. album.  One thing that came across was they were all ordinary guys led by Freddie who took them to where they went.
Recommend it to everyone, after all you can't not like Queen?  Can you?

Any Jackie Chan fans on Mayhem?

Found 'The Foreigner' on Utube today - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QEDxYicJnU

Not your usual Jackie Chan film by far but instantly my favourite!

NB: Warning!  Very much an X /18 film!

Just watched Reach For The Sky for the God knows how many times. I still like it but so much that could have been useful additions was "Glossed Over" What a pity. 8/10

Hi all, just been spending my pension on seats for 'The Favourite'.  I regret spending the money.
If you want to see a film where you dislike everyone in it then fine.  I suppose the actors have to have done a good job to get you to dislike them so much.  It was grim and weird.  Opinion also shared by my wife and daughter.

You have been warned.
I remember seeing 'The Artist' b/w French and silent, it was an award winning film I thought the dog was very good.  Also time wasted you will never regain.

Regards

I watched the film Social Media last evening, mainly to get the background to Facebook.  The characters come across as the most unappetising characters ever. The people involved are still around and I wonder how they considered their portrayal on the screen.  All came across as social misfits or overly rich young men with a divine belief in personal entitlement.
If the Mark Zuckerman character is correctly portrayed do not expect any cleaning up of Social media as seen on Instagram of late.  He maybe rich but so unpleasant.

Mary Queen of Scotts I have to say was not my cup of tea at all. Raised absolutely no emotions in me throughout. Interesting historically if accurate. Not one to recommend.

EDIT the wife enjoyed it  {:-{ maybe its a megalomaniac women thing  {-) she scores it an 8

The whole cast are TV level actors too and recognisable from the drama and soap parts

Just back from watching the Upside. I surely recommend this one. If you're not laughing you're crying  :-))
Not doing too well at the local cinema but I think that's due to the silly show times they've chosen. Glad we went

Yes, definitely liked Alita. I was worried that it would be awash with Teen angst, but that was minimal and the animation was so realistic. The film is much better than the anime version, with a much tighter and richer storyline. It plays with film tropes and that makes it fresher.

I am going to see it again tomorrow evening after a burger and icecream for tea  :-) The Cosplayers are going to have to up their making game to recreate the cybernetic suits.

Last week we watched Alita again but in 2D  :-))
Followed by the Aftermath which I thought worth a 9 for story and acting. Hamburg after the war.
Tomorrow we see Captain Marvel first in 3D
