hobby king esc

im having problems with this speed contoller.....................hkb125a esc

push the stick forwards.........motor starts slowly for 3 seconds then lets the motor build to full power
pull stick backwards (TWICE!!!!!) motor starts slowly then builds upto 2/3 power in reverse when you return the stick to centre the motor stop with a jolt brakes on...............

iv downloaded to pdf to programe the horrible thing and still no joy,,,,,,,,,,,choosing my words carefully im a tad miffed with it,,blown alot of money and its s--t...........................

any ideas????

I htink you have allready ANSWERED your own question with your question Motor stop with a jolt brakes on.......there are 4 functions on the brakes ...........OFF soft Med Hard .......you need to reprogram the brakes to OFF

yes dave from the advert and the hobbyking pdf your quite right mate.......BUT in reality no your not......in the programe there is no brake setting, the brake setting is the reverse..so you have

brakes off..............................no reverse
soft...........................25% reverse power
medium................50% reverse power
hard .......................aint on the esc
theres just three options


loads of people have asked via the net saying they cant programe the dam things because its says

push stick forward and power up esc the it scrolls through to the setting you want then let the stick centre...when you do this it closes the menu down..........you have to push forard to scroll through and then pull into reverse and hold to get to the next menu.......


BUT  the pair were less than £60 there 125 amp and they will take 25.9v through em.. they start the motors low down ok so having to pull the stick twice isnt so much of an issue and ill soon get used to them on tank tracks.....
