I'm old and perplexed
« on: March 30, 2014, 02:05:20 pm »

I have recently purchased from ebay a pre-owned (old and converted to 2.4ghz) Futaba transmitter, it came with a pack of 8 Ni-Mh
batteries, and the original mains charger. When new these transmitters had NI-Cd batteries.
My question, is it safe to use this charger on the Ni-Mh battery back?
Charger type is plug in the wall and charge the transmitter in situ. Model no MB82C03.
Life was so much simpler when all batteries were blue and had Ever Ready plastered down the side.
Thanks

Hi Al.
Yes. It is safe to charge the Rx with the Tx/Rx charger that came with the model.  It is the newer battery the Lipo that you need to be wary of with the charging process.
