Hello boys
Sorry but I think you´re misunderstand me, I didn´t mean that the GRP hulls are weak, but these 3 pelagic hulls were to small for the scale of boats I build in. This was not a critic of GRP hulls or SMT´s fine work, the only thing was the size, I think were to small for me
.
The weak one was myself and when I get old and loose my streng to handle the bigger models, thats what I meant
.
Fiberglass are a very strong thing, have a homemade boat at 5,65 meters and using it for sailing to places where I dive, it carries easy 6 divers with all gear, and people who knows diving know how heavy the gear is, and not forget the 175 kg for the 115 HP motor. This boat are made of fiberglass on fiberglass many times, no wood or steel to give more strengt and no need for this, course the fiberglass is strong enough to handle even hard weather and heavy loaded.
Regards Brian.
