This one - Gettysburg (1993)?

Watched that over last two nights.... very long but battle scenes look very realistic!

T34 ? are you sure, it definetly had all the right shapes for a tiger, not a sloping front in sight, its like when they use a White M3A2 half track for a german half track instead of a hanomag
When they used the M3A2 halftrack...with the 75mm howitzer on top....at the beginning of the film...this was not meant to be a Hanomag...or a Pakwagen or  to give it its proper name...Sdkfz 251..with Pak40...cos if that was the case...then they should have been using...Kubelwagens and an Opel Blitz ..instead of a Jeep....and an American truck....

If I understood the storyline correctly, they were bluffing their way through the german lines hoping that with the darkness and confusion due to the rain that no one recognized the jeep being there, I would have to watch the film again to see if they used US vehicles with black crosses for the germans.

You have hit the nail on the head,..they were bluffing their way through,...and the half track did,nt have any Balkan Kreutzes and  with Mulligan,s shells falling all over the place...confusion reigned supreme....

That also applied to the opening bluff with the drunk german paperpusher in the front seat.

Dunkirk for me, mainly because I was in it, together with 4,000 other British soldiers, made at Camber Sands in 1957. (Dunkirk had altered so could not be used.) All troops near to the cameras were equipped with old BDs and long sword bayonets. The bangs on the beach were b.....y loud and would blow you off your feet if you were too close to them. I was near the ambulance in the centre of the beach. Had to be fit, it was a long way from the surf to the dunes as we played an air attack Scene. We were 5 days shooting, and were paid 1 Pound a day, if you got wet an extra 10 Shillings. Real dosh in those days.Join the army and see the World.

Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day-Lewis, not quite modern warfare, but displays some of the guerrilla tactics adapted by the Americans, 'fraid it doesnt shed a good light on the English, but the sound track is very good and the scenery is stunning, almost historical correct.

"partially historically correct"? Well yes, they got Wallace's name right but fell over after that. The little we do know about Wallace was that he was a son of a minor knight, a Lowlander who was red-haired and above average height and commanded his forces at the Battle of Stirling Bridge, which was fought upon and around said bridge.  He probably never wore the kilt and did not paint his face blue; a fashion common among the Picts who had died out at least 300 years before his time. He most certainly was not a dread-locked Australian with ducks-disease and a dreadful accent who fought the Battle of Stirling Bridge in the middle of a field. He also never met any English Princesses. The film was bunkum and nothing else.

Wallace was a great figure who had vision ahead of its time but lack of support from the Scot's nobility meant that he never sent anybody "home tae think again". That phrase refers to Bruce post-Bannockburn and Edward II who was forced back into England.

Have to agree with BarryM. I thought the film was pretty indifferent and historical claptrap. However, I disagree about the accent, which I thought Mr Gibson captured rather well, if we assume that Wallace was born in the East End of Glasgow.
In all fairness, he made a better job of being a Scot than Richard Attenborough's dire stab at a Jockanese accent in Jurassic Park - and Dickie had the advantage of spending a lot of time among the Scots in his holiday home on the Isle of Bute...

It made money for its backers, was mostly filmed in Ireland and if you enjoyed it - that's fine but let's not pretend it was any more accurate than Tom & Jerry - possibly less!

Mentioned before but for me:-

Hamburger Hill

and

Battle of Algiers

are both superb and top my list.

Battle of Algiers has perhaps the coolest looking soldier ever, and definitely the best uniforms ever:-

But the Odd Angry Shot is also excellent.
