Drive belts
« on: April 12, 2014, 05:25:33 pm »

Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but where is the best place to get drive belts and gears to connect a motor to a shaft ?

I have looked at the Motionco site but I am a bit unsure regarding the diameter of shafts.

Do any of the model boat suppliers do 'sets'?

All the best
Sandy

The spec sheet with the motor should give the output
shaft diameter.
The prop shaft will either be 4 or 5 mm diameter.
normally.
If you have already bought motor and shaft you should then
have to decide on the ratio I.e. 2:1 or 6:1 or whatever.
