Hi Martin

I see you're having the usual problem with posting images and using 3rd party sites. I use SMF Gallery Pro and Post Image Upload mods on my forum, has worked well for years and you can control image sizes and file sizes, they are compressed on upload to the gallery. Members can either upload their images to the gallery first and copy/paste the BB codes in their post, or they can use Post Image Upload in the post editor and it does both for them. There are lots of settings for admin to play with.

You've probably tried it, but though I'd mention it in case you haven't.

So this worked from an iPad - but I had to toggle view using icon capital "A" first - the last icon right hand side bottom row first to make it work

Update - this was from my iPhone - again had to toggle view first - then it is one click upload

Pictures 1 & 2 are just wrong, I mean a Clean Springer !!, where as picture 3 is spot on , Springer in a mud puddle...Where springers belong...

Mayhem can't host video...... Youtube can be very cumbersome to upload unless you've got time to learn Utube & a certain amount of IT skills, Facebook only shows on Facebook, etc, etc.

Just to say I don't know what has changed apart from passage of time but whatever on Mayhem or Malwarebytes blocking anything with a modelboatmayhem address has now sorted itself out of it's own accord from my end. I believe Martin needs donations to fund a new hawaiian shirt each year to keep this all going so I will put some brass washers in the acount next now that I can. Thankyou!

Sorry to be a pain in the ass but this as we are all reminded of often enough this is a model boat forum.

Is it just me or why is the most prominent image on the forum recently "Premier Car Models". Fair-enough if they sponsor but I looked through them and found zero reference to marine modelling so why do they feature so prominently please? I'm hoping this isn't the start of mayhem selling-out? Other forums are shot-gunned with advertising which I thought this forum was proud not to?

(No malice against them -just wondering why!!!)

...I keep saying it's Ok to call me Rich or presumably Richard when I sign off as it. RST is so impersonal unlss it's intended.
Are we doing that bad?

I know there are much less retailers nowadays but there are still some suppiers ever-present. Your basic membership fees are pitifully small by any standard so I always try to pay a bit more (just did it tonight). Is it literally a case the coffers are epmpty?

I was part way through a respnse to you when somthing re-set and I lost the message.

There must be a long list of vendors in this hobby that are known or used (I'm not making any reference to those in far east). I was up to 10 or 14 UK model boat suppliers / vendors before I stupidly forgot to save. I can try to recompile later.

....The day I log-in to a model boat forum and a model car advert occupies half of the screen I start to wonder. To be fair on that company I actually looked in most and explored allot of their website ....................and found nothing of interest or of use because there are other forums for cars, I log-in here for model boat stuff!
