sorry guys but i was happy to hear its a technical fault because i have a new computer that wouldnt get in to 2 sites i regularly visit (MBM being one) and i was thinking i got a dud computer. now i have found out that both the sites had issues at the same time so i wont have to give the beast a tune up with my huge hammer after all. and i also think a small sub is a great idea to relieve the strain on martins wallet a little, as long as payment options can allow us foreign devils to make payments.

which is free for us and is funded by advertising, it works very well for us since the inception of our forum.

But we are wary because another host we had problems. Then we record all the forum daily for security.

I know the stress of work and worry a forum administrator and I am appreciative of the work that provide MARTIN and his colleagues for this large forum

As Martin said, we do 'Wahoo' when it works.

The funds are running at an all time low at the moment, so if your up to it, a small donation (by the many) will certainly help our decisions for the future.

Our club is different from the normal enthusiasts club in that, we are a family and tend to talk socially. I, for one spend a lot of time getting to know folks and discuss many and varied topics away from standing in the cold making boats.

We have been removing old posts of no relevance in an effort to increase the smooth running of the Forum as this was thought to decrease the load on the server, but to no avail.

We would welcome more advertisers to this very popular club, as their time would not be wasted. Just look at the enthusiasts we have on here. All experts in so many fields of our craft. All potential purchasers.

FYI: I've disabled 'auto SQL optimisation - that usually kicks in at 02:00 GMT.

NB: Yes I thought a 300Meg Db should run quite happily in 1Gig Ram.

Just had another Server 500 Error (15:53hrs), and had a thought. Maybe it isn't a techy thing at all. Maybe it's being caused by the snow on the logo.

First time it's been down in a week.... a good record of Mayhem recently!

So sorry about that Carl, it seems every time I do the required daily server maintenance routines, it causes a problem.

We are making a major server change / upgrade, ( fifth one in 5 years7 ) and are in the process of raising the finance to complete!
