That link is already a 'full' one, try entering http://goo.gl/iaZd9 and you will see the effect.

If you google for 'URL Shortener' there are a number of sites which let you enter a long URL, and will provide a small one. The reason being it is easier to send to others, and saves space for character limited systems such as Twitter.
I used www.goo.gl (a service run by Google) to create the link, which is interesting as it then will keep track of how many clicks it gets, and from which countries ( I hadn't realised it did that until now)
3 Clicks so far  :P

Well despite all this good advice and even following my own advice, I got tagged with a virus /  Malware / Trojan yesterday!  :embarrassed:

I was downloading a program trial from Cnet / Download.com yesterday and got hit by TopArcadegames  - and it was a bitch to remove!  >>:-(

In the end, I found these pages which proved very useful:
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/960863
http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-toparcade-hits-virus.html

It had also deeply embedded itself into Firefox but found this:
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Cannot%20uninstall%20an%20add-on#w_uninstalling-manually

I'm now running Malwarebytes 'deep scan' to kill off the klingons!

NB 1: I stopped using Norton AV a few years ago as I got a virus (Conficker), the first thing that was hit was the Norton! Took me days to work out what the hell was going on!
( Also Norton got so big and bloated, it was taking up to 40% of my processing power. Big AVG fan these days... plus I get what I pay for - Free! Norton is not cheap but not value for money when I used to use it.... but what do I know! )

NB 2: I use AVG on my Android Tablet.

NB 3: Mayhem is deep virus scanned at least once a week!  :police:

Thanks again to Rob Wood & Twister  :-))

Something to bear in mind.  It is not wise to run more than one Antivirus software on a system as it can cause problems
If you do decide to switch, some AV software can be a real pain to remove completely.

I have never been a lover of Norton as others have said it's quite a resource hog.

My 2 choices are
Avira
http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus

Fsecure
http://www.f-secure.com/en/web/home_gb

Also as an emergency backup I have a Jumpshot USB stick
http://www.jumpshot.com/

An amusing bootable USB antivirus/malware package

I used Norton for many years, but moved to Trend Micro on the advice of a computer guru. Norton is very resource hungry and was slowing my PC far too much, whereas Trend Micro allows it to operate normally. In the 5 or 6 years I've been using Trend Micro I have never had a virus; that's not to say it couldn't happen, but it hasn't happened yet. I have Trend set to update automatically, so I always have the latest protection.

...totally agree  %) .........like many...I have experience the good & the bad over many years....MacAfee....Symantec......... CA ........AVG...however have been very satisfied with Norton 360 multi user licence for 5years & share it with family & friends.......
I also found CA to be an excellent product...however Harvey Norman in OZ were loosing too many $ in selling other peoples Anti Virus software so stopped importing hard copies of CA [/b]&now import an alternate brand that I suspect is owned by Gerry Harvey....... >>:-( .............Derek[/size]

Something very odd is certainly going on, the iffy ones are only looking at Sections and not individual topics.
