Well, for personal reasons (i.e. my ill-spent life!), I consider it advisable to 'fly under the radar'.
But, I've observed that there only two ways to get 'noticed'. One is to make a very messy and public 'bollix' of whatever one does for a living. Hint: if I asked you to name an 'Oil Tanker Captain', you'd probably name the skipper of 'Exxon Valdez'.
The other way is to donate money to a 'worthy cause', and, by my lights, MBM absolutely qualifies!
(Oh, and if I ever get back to the U.K, I'll be putting lots of GBP's into the RNLI Collection Boxes. As I mentioned somewhere else here, I donated to RNLI during my RCN visits to the U.K, and, IMHO, RNLI is the classiest charitable organization on Earth!)
There's a school of thought which maintains that 'There is no such thing as bad publicity, unless they mis-spell your name'. I suspect that 'Madonna' agrees with this; she is, truly, a talented singer...but, unfortunately, she's so hell-bent on making a spectacle of herself that nobody will appreciate her true talent. (For example: 'La Isla Bonita/The Spanish Lullaby.) And, likewise, Dolly Parton's 'Love Is Like A Butterfly' - a truly beautiful tune, but all anybody will remember about Dolly is her 'cup size'.
Well, that's about all for now. Waiting for my Traplet 'Pilot Boat Set' and plans for 'RCNS Whistler'.
