Jeeeeeeez!  :'(

Sorry to see that at your venue guys!
Am I right in thinking that it was the height of the water that caused the disruption?
I bet the bloke with the fishery had a 'fun filled' few hours too eh?
Hope it gets back to more normal levels soon.

On a different tack....

What was the green frame for?
Can you tell us about the fleet of yellow tugs?
Have you got any details or photos of the big blue floating crane?

Martin.

Hi Martin,  The frame at the end of the walkway is or was a Gazebo.
The gray cranebarge is purpose built for towing It's a one or two tug tow, The barge is 6ftx2ftx9in.
It is made of steel the weight is 130LB the crane is made of wood. See Single voith tractor tug at work.
   Dec 29th 2006  Tug towing.
HaHa The Yellow tug fleet. The Tugs belong to a member of the Balne Moor club. He has had the tugs
a long time and was due for a referb, So he though he would have his own fleet colour, YELLOW.
The tugs are Eldergarth. Smit tug. And a scratched built Turkish tug [ SIDE ] Single screw.

    Thanks for the intrest.

Hats off to you lads....your doing a grand job and look to be having fun at the same time!

Were busy debating which meeting we will get to there...Jamesy cant make the two day affair because of family commitments, but we are aiming to get something sorted out for the other 'single screw' event!     And NO.....we are not cutting off a shaft to enter the thing! LOL

I have to ask , Was this pond dug purposely for model boating in the past or is it a natural pond that you have turned into what you want/need ?
It looks perfect ! (or will do when repairs are finished ).

Hi Shane,  Yes we dug the pond purposely for scale boating no power boats (ics) . Just unfortunately the
floods took there toll, but we are getting there with help from our friends, You should come to yorkshire and
  see us some time.

  Regards

  John.                POLL

PS  will see if I can find some old Pics when we first dug the pond.
