Yep, that's right. Another poor soul about to take the plunge into the murky depths of RC model ships. I have built RC planes in the past and now I want to go the water. I'm trying to decide between a kit by Hartman Models and Deans Models. On another forum I've been told the quality of Deans is not worth the money. Wondering if anyone here could give advice on deciding between the two. I'm looking at Hartman's Monterey Clipper ship and Dean's S.Y Komet.

Hi falconerone and Welcome to the Mayhem!

First of all the two ships a very different so two different disciplines.

ProductID:    HMB-80COMP    MONTEREY CLIPPER COMPLETE SET
Price:    $825.00

Sub-Total: £546.90

Dean's Marine kits are not Airfix kits so they do require quite thought and work but look at what you are attempting to build! Dean's Marine kits seem to draw unwarranted criticism but they consistently produce prize winning models and owners always seem proud of their accomplishments.
