4 meters, Bl00dy hell O0. Have you thought how you are going to power the vessel and I take it you will be sitting inside or are you going for RC.

Twin electric trolling motors in the tunnels for power seems to be my favoured propulsion system at the moment, and yes I intend to be aboard this one!!

Only if I tried to bring it indoors!!

Anyway no more about the Mersey as this is a thread about TYNE LIFEBOATS  ;)

gribeauval  I am lost for words mate awesome, O0 can I ask you how you lift the tyne into the water IE: by strop's or on a stand.???
a pic would be nice if you have one, as being my first model of any size I'm not sure the best way to go about it, already nearly
cuddled it to death lugging it upstairs to the test tank.  please don't tell me you tow it to the lake and lower by a winch.  ;D

I have a brilliant aid for moving/lifting the Tyne around the house and in/out of the water,................MY SON!!!

He also models lifeboats even though he has learning difficulties, in fact he can look at a plan and visualise the finished article better than I can!
He has just finished the ex-Cromer Tyne in 1/12th scale, his painting isn't great but every part has been built by himself from scratch.

A very nice looking craft. Lifeboats obviously run in the family. Lucky man.

The avatar picture is of a Trent class lifeboat re-built from a Model Slipway kit (greatly modified!) I did for a friend of mine in Norfolk.
This is a video, with music, of the whole build I did for a laugh, the last section  shows how the boat handles . ;)

Speedline models do a set of windows for the Tyne, I think. depends on how much you want to pay, but they are excellent quality

Best bet if you need a set, or even part of a set making, is to talk to Speedline models. They are superb fittings and he doesn't bite (much!).
