I had one of these once, built by by late granddad in the 60s still had the original box the fittings came in, unfortunately my ex wife burnt it, along with my collection of mtbs and my destroyers ???

well here i am again... so far i have the decks made the hull is sealed with envirotex.... i did this also with my nitro vee stuff works awesome....now i am trying to locate the parts for this boat? deck fittings and such... also i have to figure out how the deck lids are attached to the boat? should i use square stock on the inside of the deck holds? or should i attach to the lids themselves? i still have yet to find the right engine for this boat... i want to go with a 21 but so far i cannot afford this engine. so used is in the future for this project... i will be making windows out of clear pop bottle plastic.... maybe tinted i still do not know however. may use green pop bottle.... anyone have any ideas? pls post them as i am goin nuts here:)
thank you all for looking......

Hi Crashrescue as a matter of interest did you know that  the maximum attachment size allowed: 256 KB, per post. So you can post more than one photo each time, its quicker.   O0

Do you have the photo resizer on your computer? If not there is a section on Mayhems main home page that explains how to get it. Also although your pictures were a bit on the large size all three only came to 225.88Kb so would have gone on one posting, just.   O0

Going back to the 60s' when the smaller one was the only available one, a frame made from same ply as the bulkheads
was glued and pinned to the underside of the 'lid' which were tight enough to be push fit into the top of the cabin.
My mates' boat had a watercooled ED Hunter and used to go like a bat out of,  and despite the lids weighing a ton
cos the fittings were heavy castings, when he made a replacement rear lid ( it flipped off and sunk) he then
Mechanically fixed it, sooo take your pick.

This is how I did it but used plasticard but you could use wood and made a simple catch out of a bit of K&S brass folded as a catch.

All you need now DJ is a GENUINE water cooled ED Hunter to make it original.
