The Model Boating Bug
« on: May 29, 2014, 04:38:53 PM »

by Mrs Bluebird

The Model Boat Bug has hit him good
'cos everywhere we look there are scraps of wood
props, shafts and controllers galore
I could go on telling you ...that he doesnt need any more
The plans are rolled up and he still collects more
in fact we have that many there must be 100 or more
There are tugs, warships and racing boat plans
and papers about models all over the shelves
He has so many now he will need help from the elves
and its his Birthday today, and what did he request
Another set of plans, special cos they're by Glynn Guest
No, its Jacobin, he's changed his mind
Will it be a hull or a refit for this or that
We have shelves of models - and that's where you find the cat
There's glue, paints and Balsa wood too
Batteries not only a couple, but a dozen or two
I cant see him coming out of the model room early,
he rolls his chair back and forwards in fact the mat has turned curley
If he isnt modelling, he is on the web
drinking tea or coffee from a flask
That reminds me he needs a new sanding mask
So to all you modellers you must be the same
Its the Mayhem Forum - that is to blame
Having said all that, its good to be busy
But if he builds anymore he will turn us all dizzy
