Now here's strange...
« on: June 05, 2014, 01:46:54 pm »

Two days ago I bought a set of screwdrivers off of eBay...nice little set, twenty odd quids worth and a free multitester with it.

Posting person has just turned up, and when I opened the package it's my stuff, exactly what I ordered...but it's from Amazon, from a totally different seller, and from a different part of the country!

I'm not complaining, just found it somewhat strange. The address on the delivery note is Amazon.co.uk, address is...wait for it...the same address as eBay!

Anybody else had this happen?

Yup, Sure has, a couple of times.
Amazon provides a storage and delivery service for online sellers.

This could open a can of worms. Say part of the order was missing or it was faulty- who do you claim against? Amazon? the seller? Both of them could claim it wasn't their fault but that it lays with the other party!

As a Buyer it would be quite simple, the problem lies with the seller, Makes no matter who's fault it is, ultimately it is the sellers even if lost in the post and is up to the seller to make any claims. The buyer , certainly on ebay would get his money back due to ebays buyer guarantee.
