BECC flags
« on: June 09, 2014, 05:32:34 pm »

Hi,

Some advice appreciated please.

Just got a couple of BECC's flags and the instructions say wet the black edge with clear glue before cutting to avoid fraying....

Firstly, what glue does anyone recommend?

And, I did a search for 'BECC flags' and there is a thread (in Chit-Chat about superglue) that recommends spraying the flags with a modelling matt varnish while suspended from BECC card backing. I am assuming that the varnish would do the same sort of thing, ie, bind the cotton to stop it fraying when cut?

Any advice appreciated.

All the best
Sandy

Whoops, just found a video on their website...  %)

They talk about using a solvent based glue. Is that like plastic modellers glue?

Hi Sandy I use a diluted unibond adhesive or any pva glue seems to be ok too. Graham
