How quick can you build a boat?
« on: June 14, 2014, 09:01:12 pm »

This guy less than TWO DAYS to turn out a 5foot model of Titanic %% Quite an amazing build, as are all the boats on his blog, all of them are worth a view. Its seems to have been a time since he posted I wonder what happened?

Barret builds in cardboard. His ships are waterline models.
He has several builds, including the Musashi, and other cruise ships on RCgroups.
He may be flying airplanes now.

To answer your topic question.....

It takes me between three and twelve months to build a model IC powered racing boat (weekends only on them). For me (much to the amazement of my boating buddies) the longer it takes me, the better for me!

Why is that?

It is because I get as much pleasure doing the build as I do racing them!
Each to their own I say!

Too quickly for me  %% {-) %% {-) %% {-)

I agree with Craig, the pleasure is as much in building as in sailing. I also don't have space to store many, so have to try to sell some as I make them.
