Lesro Yachts
« on: July 07, 2014, 08:24:18 am »

Hi
At our club in Nottingham we have a weed problem that is preventing us sail our fleet of Micro Magic's due to the ballast bulb on the fin catching the weed.  We are now trying to find a small sporty yacht that will have a fin that will not catch weeds.  I have found a model designed by Vic Smeed called Star Baby which is available form MMI plans service.  One of our members builds J class yachts which by virtue of the hull design do not get caught up in the weeds.  However these J class yachts are rather large in size and price.  What we need is a small traditional hull design and I might be wrong but I thought Les Rowel designed a yacht model (not the Gemini Cat) but I cannot find one any where.

Can anyone help?
Thanks
Martin

Do you mean the 575? Still available from Les on Ebay, although I don't think he advertises all the time.
