I've seen photos of the boat and the model before - both are beautiful and even more so in motion.

Nice,.. Beautiful yacht, but clear the rigging off that stern cleat! %)

I think I suffered for 8 minutes over that. LoL ok2

Beautiful boat, beautiful model.  Love all the Pen Duicks, Tabarly new how to made them fly.

I wonder if spring stand ups like those used on full size genoa cars may have prevented the fouled mainsheet.  They would be very easy to make.

Re fouled sheets: Perhaps a clear cover, say vacuformed from clear plastic, could be installed over the aft deck just for sailing.

A beautiful model - your friend Carlos should be rightly pleased with her.
I never saw the original Pen Duick as she had sailed from Benodet a few days
before we arrived - in fact we sailed in the day word came through that
Eric Tabarly was missing overboard on the way up to the Clyde. 
A brilliant sailor who designed some fantastic yachts
