Bow and stern thrusters

I have fitted a Roboesch thrusters in my build of Fairmount Alpine  Voltage 7.2 max,current consumption no load 0.50 A  , blocking current consumption 20.0 A  figures taken of the supplied sheet .
  Please can someone tell me what size wire/cable to use . I am useing the installation drawings drawn by Mr Dave Milbourn .
I understand tha the bigger cable is better for the current ,and there is /will be a formular to work it out but this is a bit beyond my ken.
I have on stock silicone 12AWG this looks just a bit hefty to try and keep it tidy .
All help greatly appreciated
