Hi There,
Just got hold of the moonraker kit, sort of unstarted.
The kit came minus plans / manual etc anyone out there got these items to sell or copy and send me, all costs will be met, I am in Finistere so some cost implication!
The above contributions will undoubtable give me inspiration / focus etc.
Built a Jeles Verne last year and have used her to compete in various Brittany / Pays de loire competitions, finished 3rd in the BPL championship, well pleased!!
I will try and mount some photos.
Cheers
Tony S

Hi Tom
Forgot to post, I found a set on German Ebay for £20. They have instructions in German, French and English. My one problem with this construction is that as the graupner Jet drives are not currently available, the kit came with another variety but the base is about 25 - 30mm too  short, however, with laminated plasticard should be able to fabricate closure pieces for the infill pieces.
Looks to be an interesting project, however the re are bits that need demounting to start again!
I might have found another kit in Germany, in a quandry as to buy or not(as a [possible investment)
Thanks again
cheers and bloavez mad(happy new year in Breton!)

They're probably KMB jets which are tbh a better choice than the graupner ones! Glad.youve got some plans. Build thread?

Ah yes, thanks for that!
Perhaps a recovery/build thread covering the hull modifications to fit the KMB's.

forgot to add the rc system uses a 'v'tail mix, one stick controls both motors, forward and reverse both motore or one motor outside of turn inside stopped or as above wth the inner in reverse, that together with the bow thruster allows for static spins.
The lights work and the radar turns.
The origin of the name, a connection sort of with Jules Verne they were both science fiction writers, Jules Verne was painted mahogany brown to copy 30's vintage yachts, i preferred something more notable hence white.
The kit was bought from a model shop adjacent the Dutch shipyard who constructed the full size version, and the guy who commissioned the full size yacht also wanted a model, the shop had just started construction of said model when the guy lost his money, everything stopped. The original was then taken over by an American, she was finished and now rests in Los Angeles.
My model is purely of fiction.
A throughly enjoyable but hair tearing experience as I took the hull back to just the drive systems being installed.
I now look forward to the Moonraker build, obviously with a different name although still Bond connected! ; - ))

The latest addition to the fleet, a 1/10 scale RIB, equipped with a jet drive by KMB, a 28mm job.
A challenge mounting all the 'stuff' in the central hull, uses a bucket type reversing system , it performs extremely well in reverse, answering turn commands without problem - can't wait for the competition season to start, 'I'll show those froggies a thing or two!!

Needs  finishing off, touching up screw heads with black marker pen or paint etc.
Another challenge finished, bought cheaply on ebay, the kit was unstarted so a blank canvas!
Been trying to find some 1/10 scale figures, a bit like rocking horse merde(French for you know what ;- D)  ) - so any suggestions greatfully received!

Now  on to the Moonraker, have now acquired some plasticard of varying thickness to fill part of the 3 hull holes, and also some 35mm pipe joints to enable the discharge tubes on the 3 x kmb's to be lengthened, just  need to find some 35mm diam copper tube for the extensions - a to visit Quimper required as there are some industrial plumbing outfits there who may have some short offcuts, time will tell. Otherwise it'll be good old UK ebay, problem with ebay, delivery cost! - usually more than the tube!
