Fairmount Alpine deck seal
« on: July 01, 2014, 06:02:48 pm »

Hi please can any one who has built Fairmount Alpine tell me if it is a wet load deck ,been at it all day trying to come up with a plan to seal it . There is no clearance between the rudder arm and the combing ,rudder angle set at 35 deg,and the top of the stock has a fag paper clearance to the underside of the deck .My plan was to put a channel right round and glue a strip to the underside of the deck to fit into the channel with a "O" ring in the bottom of they channel. The plan all falls apart where the steering gear is .

Hi David
I had the same problem as I also wanted to use a channel to seal the deck. I found that I had to lower the rudder posts so that the servo arm sat lower. I can't send any pics as I'm in France at the moment and don't have my laptop on me
