well this is the tricky bit..

If i were to stick it in a shed in the garden, the shed would have to be a minimum of 5meters wide and around 6 long. The curved screen which needs building needs to have a radius of exactly 2.35meters.

However, having something of that size in a garden within the curtilage of a listed building is as difficult as jumping to the moon. I may be able to treat it as a temp structure and shove some wheels on which is a loop hole apparently.

Even if I could get it in the garden, Im then faced with the problem that im not allowed by planning law to run it as a business - which I had intended to do.

Next option, get a unit somewhere. However this is expensive and I need the whole setup process done within a week or two which involves a lot of coordination.

The listed building/manor next door comprises of 75% apartments and the rest an architects offices (BHD Partnership) they are actually trying to convert the rest of the offices into flats however they have proven themselves to be knobs and therefore will certainly not be asking to rent the old drawing office off them! Would have been a nice solution though..

Every knob has a price. Just don't let them know you're desperate, Dan (OK...............I'll fetch me coat).

Theres far better venues, it was more for ease to be honest. access is tricky, the place needs a lot of work and they dont like spending!

Yes all records will be kept.

its good enough to do a type rating on put it that way.

the only issue i have is the software element. the base software is flight sim x or p3d. however the interface and aircraft software currently installed is called project magenta. its old, full of bugs and needs an upgrade.

The best one is pro sim 737. It used to be about £50, its now 600 euros + tax. However to operate the software on a commercial basis, it requires a commercial license of pro sim. asked on prices and they said 10,000 euros! I grumbled a little and they came back quoting even more costs which dont make sense.

Anyway, waiting to hear back.

Can i risk running it on the 'home' version, yes, its the same software, however a lot of jealous folk out there who will report me, despite there being no way to even see what version is running.

The thing is Ian, no visual difference however if they got a tip off, and lets face it, people are horrid creatures and will do anything to ruin each others day, then i could be in a spot of bother.

i know what you mean mate. People get jealous of others fortunes / well being. Some times it's a case of. If I can't have it. You can't have it.

Dan, can I suggest you edit your post #25? You've effectively told the world exactly where you live.

If you are charging 225 euro an hour for certification training, you could pay the
software fee and make a profit in two weeks.

If you had 45 guys through.to pay the 10'000eus O0

You would need some sort of
reception, someone organising
certification, at least a coffee lounge,
Parking?
Love to see it work Dan but Whitby would rather
have  a Steam Paddler running trips along the coast.

You would get planning permission for that if it joined up
with the Steam Bus
